These guys were great! We called on a day they were closed and they answered the phone outside of business hours. Nick even checked out our Jeep on a Holiday Weekend (when they were closed). He gave us a quick repair, told us what was wrong, what was needed to repair it and about how much it would cost. He gave us discounts and the best price possible. When we went back for a full repair, they were able to squeeze us in and take care of everything. These guys really are great. No worries with them.

Grand Marais Campgrounds
When it come to Grand Marais camping.I'm kind of in the dark.I've never made it up that way before,because it is so far out of our way.However here are some camping spots in the area for tents,and RV Camping.I have a feeling some of these places could be expensive.I always get that feeling when it comes to towns that mainly survive on tourism.A fact of life I guess.
Campground is 27 miles north of Grand Marais on the Gun Flint Trail. Sites are private and close to a lake. The positives are the beautiful surroundings and the remoteness. They have a great staff here as well. The negatives are the lack of useable WiFi and setup for turning around and getting in and out of some of the sites. Don't try to camp here with anything bigger than 36 ft. It's nearly impossible to get in and out of some of the sites.

We have been to Hungry Jack Lodge many times and are always very pleased. It has moderately priced cabins and log cabins which are lakefront. Each cabin has it's own dock, deck, grill, and much more. Cabins are well spaced for privacy along the shore of Hungry Jack Lake. Great fishing and canoeing in the summer and the only resort on the Gunflint Trail that caters to snowmobilers during the winter months.
